Chamber musicians dedicated to renaissance and 20th century composition.

The William & Mary Schola Cantorum: Welcome!

We are The William & Mary Schola Cantorum, an entirely student-directed chamber choir dedicated to renaissance and twentieth century composition. Modeled in part on the university chapel choirs of Oxford and Cambridge, our ensemble sings from a broad, varied repertoire of sacred and secular music.

During this Fall Term, we will be exploring English church music in the era surrounding the English Reformation. A rich source of choral music, often referred to as the Golden Age of English Cathedral Music, we hope to bring the some of the vast tapestry of this era to listeners in the Williamsburg area. We will be performing concerts in two historic structures: the Wren Chapel at the College of William & Mary and the Bruton Parish Church in Colonial Williamsburg.

So whether you’ll be joining us as a singer, a concertgoer, or supporter, we hope to see you soon!

All the best,

Jacob Robins ’16
